This letter is to a friend on this site who asked me to help with her process.  Maybe it will help someone else as well.  She asked about the constant conflict she feels with her relationships with her husband, kids and life.  Here is my response to it:

You will experience the conflict of your mind like a roller coaster for a while, because that is how you learn that you need to ask for help. You need to realize that this was always going on, all the conflictual thoughts in your mind, but now you are becoming more aware of them.

Luckily, there is a way out. It does come from being God dependent, instead of running your own show. You cannot really control anything at all. You can only learn to let go of the past by surrendering your thoughts. Your attempt to be in control is the problem itself. This takes practice, and be patient with yourself. You have enough time to do it, you have the perfect situation to do it, and you can apply the lesson in any situation at all.

So, there is no will but God's. Lesson 74. So this means that your will is actually joined to God's. It is one with God's Will which is happiness. God wills you perfect peace, perfect happiness. You cannot truly be in conflict, yet you are experiencing the denial of the truth. God did not create a meaningless, conflictual world. So, you must have made it up and then believed it was true. You can now be free of it if you choose. Your mind is all powerful. You think with the Mind of God.
 
Now, you have an opportunity to change your mind. To let your ideas go. To allow for a holy instant of healing for you, right here and now. This takes a moment only. Let the grace of God enter your awareness and release that addiction to conflict. All your relationships reflect that conflict because you put them there to do just that.

Surrender and apply the lesson. It is not unusual to feel more conflict when you begin this Course. It does increase the fear for a moment. But it isn't really increased, it is just that now you are becoming vigilant for God, for a new experience. So everything conflictual is brought to your awareness for you to release it. Conflict thoughts are meaningless. They bring only pain. Ask for a miracle right here and now!  Ask and receive a new way of looking at the world.  Apply the lesson to that conflictual situation immediately.  Because the Answer is already in YOU.

Does this help? I hope so. Just remember, you see only the past. This is already over. You are free of the conflict already, now you just need to remind yourself that that is so. And learn to use your mind to release the pain instead of hanging onto it.

It takes some practice to become free. It does take a moment to learn to train your mind. But you are doing great just by being willing to do the lessons. I am so grateful for you and your constant vigilance and willingness to ask for help. That is everything.

Everything is an Idea!  You are Mind, in Mind and only Mind.  You cannot be anything but Mind.  Isn't that amazing.  All your ideas of suffering of survival of lack or limitation are simply false ideas about yourself.  They are made up by you, but are not true.  Can you accept this?  If so, you have a shot at waking up from this dream.  If you think someone else, God perhaps is making you stay in time and space and survive here, you have constructed a God that is evil.  I assure you that this cannot be true.  God is love, is happiness.  He loves you!  He wants you to awaken, and be free to know that life is eternal.  It doesn't have an end.  It is real and whole and perfect as are YOU!  And you don't have anything to say about it.  Just accept it and you will be free.  Free of your self-constructed idea of you that is what falsity is.
